|Recognising effort and achievement|
At Stokeinteignhead we are keen to celebrate all achievement and success as we want our children to feel
proud of what they do. Many of our children take part in a variety of clubs and activities outside of school,
we encourage them to tell us about any achievements so that it can be shared at the awards assembly.
Over the coming weeks we will be adding information about our awards systems across the school. Information on class awards will be available on the class pages soon.
Below is an overview of the awards systems in place across the four classes:
At the end of each week, a child is awarded with the ‘Worker of the Week’ and the ‘Kindness Award’.
At the end of each term children are awarded The Head Teacher’s and Kindness Awards. The Head Teacher’s Award is given to a child who has impressed by their attitude and/or progress in school work. Both awards are given after consultation with Mrs Maddocks.
Additionally certificates for progress in all areas of the curriculum and for outstanding homework may be awarded by the teacher at the end of term.

We hold a special awards assembly at the end of each half term. Children from each class are awarded the following:
At the end of each academic year we award a cup to a child in each class. The cup is for all round achievement and positive approaches to learning as demonstrated throughout the year. The award is nominated by the class teacher and is presented in a special assembly. The cups awarded are as follows.
Class R – The Longrigg Cup
Class 1 – The French Cup
Class 2 – The Wendy Cornes Cup
Class 3 – The Governors Cup
In addition we also have
The Bob Cross Star of Kindness Award – Donated by our former Headteacher the recipient of this award is chosen by the staff for a child who has continually shown kindness and support for other throughout the school year.
The Albert and Ruby Collins award – Donated by two former pupils this award is for a child who has shown commitment, determination and achievement in Mathematics particularly in Year 6.
