Spelling: ask someone to test you on the Year 1 words. If you get some wrong, copy them carefully onto paper/post-it notes and stick them around your house/bedroom/kitchen and keep practising them! If you are fine with the Year 1 words, find an adult to test you on the year 2 words and stick some of the ones you get wrong around your house. Do not try to learn more than 5 words at a time.
I have been told that there is an app called 'Squeebles Spelling Test' which costs £3.99 and, according to my source, it is fun and effective!
In preparation for our next writing topic, I would like you to write a short diary entry for 3 of the days/activities in your Easter holiday. If it is a busy day, it would be sensible to write the diary entry the following day when you are not too tired.
Remember to include: details to make it interesting
expressive adjectives, verbs and adverbs
how you or others felt
We have been learning lots about IK Brunel this term. We have looked at a timeline of events and inventions that happened during Victorian times. I would like you to research one of the inventions. For example ice-cream, cameras, telephones, light bulbs, bicycles, Easter eggs, Christmas cards, sewing machines or petrol motorcars.
When was it invented? Who invented it? How? What did it look like?
