Held on 3rd March 2017
The aim of World Book Day is to inspire children to read and enjoy books. All the activities planned focused on reading and enabling children to share their love of books.
All of the children looked fantastic in their costumes and we hope that they enjoyed the day. Please have a look at the photograph galleries below.
Children took part in a parade in the playground to show off all of their great costumes. We hope that you enjoyed the parade if you were able to attend, photographs are available below.
Children in different classes read to each other to celebrate the books they all enjoy.
All classes also had the opportunity to visit Teignmouth library this week.
Thank you to all of the children that took part in 'Get Caught Reading'and designed a book cover. These are displayed in school. Please have a look when you are next in.
Just a reminder that local author – John Townsend will visit the school in April. He will carry out workshops for each class, which will focus on non-fiction texts.
It has been a busy week! We really hope that the children have enjoyed sharing information about their favourite books and that they have been inspired to try new books that they have heard about from other class members.
