We began our topic by learning about a type of mapping called 'journey sticks' and had a go at making our own. We began by going on our journey and collecting interesting things we found along the way to tie on our stick. We noted the colours and interesting things we saw, listened for sounds and even thought about our sense of smell!
Back in the classroom we turned our sticks into a colour map to represent each of the different areas we visited on our journey. Next, we tied on labels and objects to note the things we saw and the things we heard on our journey. We think our finished journey sticks are amazing!
