My husband has five daughters and between us we have 20 grandchildren and a great grandson! I served in the Governing Body of two primary schools in South Wales before moving to Devon and look forward to serving on the Governing Body of Stokeinteignhead Primary School and in particular on the Teaching and Learning Committee and being lead governor in matters of equality.

Staff Governors

Martin Caddy
I have been Headteacher at Stokeinteignhead since January 2011. I am really enjoying this role working to provide the best possible learning opportunities for children and building on the community ethos of the school.
Prior to joining Stokeinteignhead I was Deputy Headteacher and Acting Headteacher at a local School in Newton Abbot. Prior to that I taught at schools in Plymouth and Bristol.
Away from school I have two daughters aged 7 and 10 who keep me very busy!

  Alan Quinsey
My title is that of Teacher Governor, a post which, first and foremost, allows a teacher's perspective on the running of the School to be heard by the other Governors. Further to this, I am a recent addition to the Finance Committee and enjoy contributing, when called upon, to the work of the Teaching and Learning Committee. On a more personal note, I began teaching some 25 years ago - the past seventeen of which have been spent here at Stokeinteignhead. I have no children of my own, but I do have a dog.

Clerk to the Governors

Nikki Johnson
I have previously clerked for two maintained schools, a federation and a learning community. I have been Clerk at Stokeinteighead Primary since September 2014 and Business Manager from May 2015. As Clerk I carry out a wide variety of responsibilities, however primarily I am on hand to support all the governors.

I work especially closely with the Chair of Governors and Headteacher. I ensure that the administration of the governing body complies with regulations, as well as providing legal and procedural advice. I facilitate the smooth running of the governing body on a day to day basis.

Should you wish to contact any of the governors, or have any queries, Nikki can be contacted via email:
