AIMS AND ETHOS

Puddleducks Pre-School has been operating since 1990.
We have been operating in the Barn since 2004 & promote a personal family like atmosphere that is
positive and secure . We aim to provide a child centered Pre-School experience featuring developmentally appropriate learning in a positive, fun, friendly & flexible environment. We encourage children to reach their full potential as members of a happy caring community. We also encourage parental involvement in the life of the Pre-School.

We are well equipped with toys covering all areas of learning and play including puzzles, playdough, arts, crafts , books & many other mentally challenging activities as well as outdoor area bikes, trikes & cars etc.

There are 3 members of staff qualified to level 3 & 4 in Early Years Education and we practise continual
professional development. We are also proud to announce that we were granted a GOOD in our OFSTED inspection last year.

Children attending range from 2-4years old & will receive 15 hours free Early Years Education once they
qualify.

We passionately believe in providing a positive, caring & stimulating atmosphere. Our Ethos is
'Learning through Play ' which is accomplished by the use of resources, individual & team play activities.
We believe that this encourages children to become independent, & confident in their choices & eager
to move onto their next stage of their education & life. Our aim is to achieve the best from them & to ensure that they mix with their peer group, learn social skills such as sharing communication & caring for
each other. Attending a Pre-school promotes friendships which they will maintain through to school & then hopefully into adulthood.
