If your child is unable to attend school for any reason please telephone or e-mail the school office to let us know.
If your child has sickness or diarrhoea we ask that he/she does not return to school for 48 hours as this type of illness can be very infectious.
From 1 September 2013 new DfE regulations came into force regarding leave of absence for children from school. The current law does not give any entitlement to parents to take their child on holiday during term time. Any application for leave must be in exceptional circumstances.
Parents are required to complete and return an S2 form to the school office.

The school can also take into account a child’s previous attendance record when considering whether to authorise an absence or not. It is also important to note that the school can determine the length of the absence to be authorised.
