We have an open door policy at Stokeinteignhead Primary and staff are nearly always available at the end of the school day; so it’s easy to have a quick chat with your child's teacher or Mr Caddy.
Parents and carers are encouraged to speak to the class teacher in the first instance if they have a specific concern about their child. Similarly, teachers will consult with parents if they have any concerns about a child.
It is always helpful, when there is a concern, to meet with the class teacher as soon as possible. This helps us to solve problems quickly and can prevent misunderstandings or minor issues becoming major problems.
If it is a whole school matter or if it is felt that a parent requires further information or reassurance the class teacher may ask you to raise your concern with the Headteacher.
If parents feel that a problem has not been resolved by either the class teacher or the Headteacher, the next step is to write to the Chair of Governors, c/o the Clerk.
We always listen to concerns and do our very best to answer any queries or investigate incidents as thoroughly as possible.
