Dear Parents and Carers,
We have organised for the children in Class 3 to take part in a residential trip to Simonsbath House on Exmoor from 28th – 31st March 2015. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the children to take part in outdoor learning and field studies and also be away from home for a few days and develop their confidence and independence. We have taken two very successful residential trips to Simonsbath in 2013 and 2015 which the children really enjoyed. The centre is of a very high standard and is used as a hotel for part of the year. Catering is fully provided during our stay and all activities are led by qualified staff. The centre manager is a former local authority adviser for outdoor education. Please do take a look at the website so that you can see the opportunities provided for yourself.

There will be meeting to share more information about the residential on Thursday 5th January, in Class 3, starting at 3.15 p.m. The meeting should last for about 30 minutes and it would be helpful if you could complete and return the tear-off slip A.S.A.P. The cost of the residential visit will be £158 per child taking part. If the cost presents a difficulty to any parent please do come and discuss this with me in confidence. Parents are welcome to pay in instalments for the trip via parent pay.

We will travel to and from Exmoor using the school’s minibuses. We will leave on Tuesday morning of 27th March and return at approximately 3:00pm on Friday 31st March in time for the end of term. Nearer the time of the trip we will provide you with a list of clothing etc which it will be necessary for the children to take with them.
In the meantime if any parent has any questions or queries please let me know.
